PLAIN-LANGUAGE SUMMARY (not legally binding):

  • We use a small number of cookies and browser storage in three categories: strictly necessary, functional, and analytics. We do not use advertising cookies.
  • Strictly necessary storage (sign-in, security, your design session) is always on — the site does not work without it.
  • Analytics cookies (Google Analytics 4) help us understand how the site is used. They are not used for advertising, and they do not load if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal.
  • You can block or delete cookies in your browser, or opt out of Google Analytics with Google's browser add-on (Section 9).
  • We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) as an opt-out of sale, sharing, and targeted advertising (which we do not currently do).

1. Introduction

This Cookie Policy explains how Hauxel Technologies, Inc. ("Hauxel," "we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on hauxel.com and our platform (collectively, the "Services"). It supplements our Privacy Policy (Section 8 of which summarizes this Cookie Policy) and our Terms of Service. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meanings given in our Privacy Policy.

Geographic scope: This Cookie Policy applies to visitors and customers in the United States. We do not currently offer the Services outside the United States.

2. What Are Cookies and Similar Technologies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device (computer, phone, tablet) by websites you visit. In this Policy, "cookies" refers to cookies and similar technologies, including:

  • Cookies (first-party and third-party): small text files stored by your browser.
  • Local storage, session storage, and IndexedDB: browser-based storage for larger data (for example, your in-progress design draft).
  • Pixels / web beacons and tags: small pieces of code or invisible images that record when a page or email is loaded, used by analytics and advertising providers.
  • Device signals for security: we do not use browser fingerprinting to track you, but our security tools may evaluate technical signals (such as browser version and screen size) to detect bots and fraud.

First-party vs. third-party: First-party cookies are set by hauxel.com. Third-party cookies are set by other domains (for example, Google) when their content or code loads on our site, and those third parties can read them.

3. Our Approach in the United States

3.1 Analytics Without Advertising

U.S. law generally permits analytics cookies on an opt-out basis. We use Google Analytics 4 only to measure how our Services are used. It loads when you visit our website, except when your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) or Do Not Track signal, in which case we do not load it. We do not use Google Analytics for advertising (Section 7).

3.2 "Sale," "Sharing," and Targeted Advertising

We do not currently use advertising cookies or pixels, and we do not sell or share personal information for targeted advertising. Before we add any advertising tool (for example, Google Ads conversion measurement), we will update this Policy and our Privacy Policy and provide a way to opt out, including through GPC.

3.3 No Session Recording

We do not use session-replay tools that record your mouse movements, keystrokes, or the content of your communications on our Services. If we add a chat or search tool provided by a third party, we will disclose it in this Policy before it goes live.

4. Cookie Categories — Quick Reference

CategoryConsent required?Default stateCan you turn it off?
Strictly NecessaryNo (required to provide the Services you request)Always activeNo (only via browser settings, which may break the site)
FunctionalNo (first-party only)OnYes, by clearing your browser's site data
AnalyticsNo (opt-out)On, except when your browser sends GPC or Do Not TrackYes (Section 9)
Advertising—Not used—

Detailed lists by category are in Sections 5–7. Names and durations may change as our software and providers change; we review this list regularly.

5. Strictly Necessary Storage

This storage is essential for the Services to work. Without it, you cannot sign in, keep your session, check out, or browse securely. Our website does not currently set its own cookies for this purpose; it uses your browser's storage instead.

NameProviderPurposeDuration
HauxelDB (IndexedDB) and userData (local storage)Hauxel (first-party)Keeps you signed in and stores your basic account profile on your device; the sign-in session is stored in encrypted formUntil you sign out or clear site data
cryptoDB (IndexedDB)Hauxel (first-party)Holds the key, on your device only, that encrypts the sign-in session aboveUntil you clear site data
__indexeddb_tab_id__ (session storage)Hauxel (first-party)Keeps each open browser tab's session separateUntil the tab is closed

You can block or clear this storage in your browser settings, but sign-in, checkout, and the design tool will not work.

6. Functional Storage

Functional storage keeps your work while you design. It is first-party only and is not used for advertising.

NameProviderPurposeDuration
kitchen (session storage)Hauxel (first-party)Keeps your current kitchen design while you workUntil the tab is closed
__preview3d_styles__, __preview3d_file_data__ (local storage)Hauxel (first-party)Passes your design to the 3D preview windowUntil you clear site data

If you clear this storage, unsaved work in the design tool may be lost.

7. Analytics Cookies

Analytics cookies help us understand how visitors use the Services so we can improve them. They load when you visit our website, except when your browser sends a GPC or Do Not Track signal.

Cookie nameProviderPurposeDuration
_gaGoogle Analytics 4Distinguishes unique browsers using a randomly generated identifier2 years
_ga_[container-id]Google Analytics 4Maintains session state for Google Analytics 4 measurement2 years

How we configure Google Analytics 4:

  • According to Google, Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses; IP addresses are used only transiently to derive approximate location;
  • Google Signals (cross-device tracking), advertising features, and data sharing settings are turned off, and Google Analytics is not linked to Google Ads, so analytics data is not used for targeted advertising;
  • Event-level data is retained for no longer than 14 months (aggregated reports may be kept longer);
  • We do not load Google Analytics for browsers that send a GPC or Do Not Track signal;
  • We have accepted Google's data processing terms for Google Analytics.

8. Advertising Cookies

8.1 Current Status

We do not currently use advertising cookies or pixels (including from Google Ads, Meta, or TikTok), and we do not use affiliate links. If we add any of these, we will update this Policy before they load and explain how to opt out.

8.2 Industry Opt-Out Tools

You can also limit interest-based advertising from other companies through:

9. How to Manage Your Choices

9.1 Google Analytics Opt-Out

You can stop Google Analytics from collecting data about your visits by installing the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-on (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout), by turning on Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track in your browser, or by blocking cookies from Google Analytics in your browser settings.

9.2 Global Privacy Control (GPC)

We honor the Global Privacy Control signal. If your browser or extension sends a GPC signal, we treat it as a valid request to opt out of the sale and sharing of personal information and of targeted advertising for that browser. In practice, this means we do not load Google Analytics (or any advertising tool we may add in the future) in that browser.

9.3 Do Not Track

We treat the legacy "Do Not Track" (DNT) browser signal the same way as a GPC signal for the browser that sends it. Because DNT is no longer widely supported, we recommend GPC for the most reliable opt-out.

9.4 Browser Controls

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies and site data:

  • Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Third-party cookies / Site data
  • Safari: Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data
  • Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
  • Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions

Blocking all cookies and site data may break sign-in, checkout, and the design tool.

10. What Happens If You Opt Out of Analytics?

Opting out of Google Analytics will not prevent you from using any part of the Services. You can still browse products and inspiration content, create designs in our 2D/3D design tool, place orders, and manage your Account. We do not charge different prices or provide a different level of service because you opt out.

11. Children

The Services are intended for adults 18 and older and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly use cookies to collect personal information from children under 13 or to target advertising to anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has used our Services, contact support@hauxel.com.

12. Changes to This Cookie Policy

  • We update this Policy when we add, remove, or change cookies or providers.
  • Non-material changes (typo fixes, clarifications, updated durations) take effect when posted, with the "Last updated" date revised.
  • Material changes (new advertising partners, new tracking categories, or expanded data collection) will be posted on this page before the new cookies load.
